3M™ LifeASSURE™ PDA Series Filter Capsule combines layers of an asymmetric polyethersulfone (PES) membrane with our Advanced Pleat Technology to create a filter with high throughput and fast flow. They’re available with 0.2 and 0.1 μm rated membranes for critical sterilisation applications.

We combine layers of an asymmetric polyethersulfone (PES) membrane with our Advanced Pleat Technology in manufacturing 3M LifeASSURE PDA Series Filter Capsules. The highly asymmetric upstream layer provides prefiltration capacity for the downstream layer, which is also asymmetric. Together, the membrane layers create a gradient membrane pore morphology that provides a relatively high contaminant capacity and fast flow rates in a sterilising grade membrane filter. 3M LifeASSURE PDA Series capsule filters Advanced Pleat Technology (APT) construction helps to extend service life. This design technology is intended to increase the useful surface area while maintaining open flow paths between media pleats. It has an all-polypropylene structural components (end caps, adapters, media support, inner core and outer cage), and comes in multiple lengths to match customer applications. 3M LifeASSURE PDA filters are available with 0.2 and 0.1 μm rated membranes for critical sterilization applications, such as: Final 0.1 and 0.2 μm sterilising filtration of Biological Liquids. This includes pre-sterilised or sterilisable disposable capsules in various sizes as well as full-size cartridges.
