Excellent as a facing for insulation, for vapor barrier joint closure and as a complimentary product with the VentureClad™ jacketing system, this tape is designed specifically to protect insulation, allowing the system to perform at its best.
Zero Permeability Provides Vapor Barrier
3M™ VentureClad™ Jacketing Tape 1578CW is a 7.5 mil multi-layered laminate coated with an aggressive cold weather pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive. With zero permeability, this tape serves as a vapor barrier, making it an ideal choice for critical applications where preventing air penetration is a crucial aspect of functionality. This tape features high puncture and tear resistance, allowing it to be used in various interior and exterior applications. It installs easily without the use of special tools. 3M™ VentureClad™ Jacketing Tape 1578CW includes a release liner to assist in applying the tape and to protect the adhesive prior to application. This tape remains flexible and bonds in temperatures as low as -10°F/-23°C. It conforms to curved and irregular surfaces with ease and unwinds easily by hand.

Adheres in Cold Temperatures
3M™ VentureClad™ Jacketing Tape 1578CW features an aggressive pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive that bonds and seals well in cold temperatures. This adhesive adheres immediately on contact to a variety of materials. It performs well under a broad range of temperatures ranging from -94°F/-70°C to 300°F/149°C. Once bonded, this tape will provide good holding power for extended periods with good aging properties that resists lifting and curling over time.

This product does not exceed the maximum concentration values (MCVs) for phthalates set under EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS recast/RoHS 2), as amended by EU 2015/863, which applies to finished EEE after July 22, 2019 for Category 1-7, 10-11 products and after July 22, 2021 for Category 8 and 9 products. This means that each of the homogeneous materials within this product does not exceed the MCV of 0.1% (by weight) for each of the following phthalates: DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP.
